This unique monument was created on the initiative of the local council and designed in collaboration with the Veterans’ Working Group. The artwork consists of four columns, each bearing the logos of the various branches of the armed forces. The columns are set against a bed of white carnations – the ultimate symbol of recognition, respect and appreciation for veterans.
The chosen location for the monument is on Kerkplein in Reusel, right next to the War Memorial. It is an accessible spot where veterans and members of the public can meet and share memories.
