They were well-organised and used ingenious methods to catch game without being caught. When the authorities finally caught up with them, it turned out the gang had fled to a hidden network of caves and tunnels. On the dark nights of the Brabant Kempen, he would appear: the night hunter. No one knew his name, but his hunt for game made him notorious. In the barn by the inn, a group of gamekeepers gathered. They made plans to set a trap one autumn night to catch the night hunter. They laid out bait, and… the shadow of the night hunter appeared. The gamekeepers rush towards it, but in the ensuing chaos
